These are some of the photos from today's parade with various different eras being represented, I've included a lot of the good photos. I'm featured in photos number one and five. I'm holding a M1A1 Carbine, I'm wearing and early war uniform. The other photos are of other people in my unit and then there are Revolutionary War reenactors, both the Colonials and British are represented.

New Event!
I'm very happy that you guys liked my hobby. As many of you might not know, we do all sorts of things for the Community. This Monday is Memorial Day and a few guys from the unit and I will be marching to support the troops, everyone will represent a different branch of the American armed forces from World War 2. After the parade I'll be more then happy to upload photos so everyone can see how it went. From my experiences with the public they are happy and eager to approach us and ask us all sorts of historical questions about our uniforms and equipment to our rifles and squad formations. I hope you all enjoyed this post, I've attached recruitment posters from each branch of the military so you can see how they differ and what kind of posters they used before and during the second world war.

Why We Fight
So everyone occasionally hears about historical reenactments being held around the country, the era being portrayed depends on the location. Here in the New England we have everything from the Revolutionary War to World War Two. In the South you typically see Civil War Reenactments. But you have to ask yourselves why do we fight? Simple we fight for you and for our veterans. A lot of reenactments are put on for the general public so they can learn about what it was like to be a solider of the Soviet Union or the Confederacy and of course the American soldier. Men and women alike spend a lot of money and countless hours on their impressions, so our history will not be lost. We show people that history can be electrifying and alive even if happened over a hundred years ago. I myself am a World War Two reenactor and my favorite part of the hobby is talking to public and educating them on the era and the war itself. Some people can't sit down and read a textbook and grasp what it was like, that’s why living historians all across the world help the general public understand what went on and how it happened.
